The small and big screens are buzzing with original book adaptations, and local authors are no exception. Join us on Thursday the 14th of November from 17:30/18:00 in Jannie se Leeskamer for the second edition of our Boek Tot Skerm series, featuring the highly acclaimed book and film, Vaselinetjie (Tafelberg, 2004 & The Film Factory, 2017). Take a seat with Anoeschka von Meck, alongside screenwriter and director duo Corné and René van Rooyen, in conversation with Délani Spies, as they share the fascinating process of transforming this celebrated book into a full-length film.
Vaselinetjie won Best Film at the 2017 Silwerskermfees and Best Humanitarian Film at the Sedona International Film Festival in 2018.
