Come and join the making of a Hugo Peller pop-up box! This ingenious kinetic structure creates the magical illusion of a book rising from its box as it is opened. During this hands-on workshop, you will construct the mechanism from scratch using card, adhesives and traditional bookbinding covering materials. To keep the focus on the structure and mechanics, a faux book will be provided for participants to work with. If you enjoy working in three dimensions, measuring accurately, cutting precisely and solving creative construction challenges, this workshop is for you. Basic crafting and cutting experience is recommended.

By the end of the workshop, you will leave with a completed Hugo Peller pop-up box and a deeper understanding of kinetic paper engineering and box-construction techniques.

All materials and light refreshments will be provided. Bring along a notebook and stationery for note taking.
