Our final Bookbinding Workshop of the year with Heléne van Aswegen takes place over the first weekend of November. In this exciting two-day workshop, participants will learn to craft a Solander Box – a custom-built, archival-quality box used to house and protect valuable books, prints, or delicate objects. The Solander Box, with its hinged lid and sturdy construction, is a favorite among conservators and collectors for its durability and versatility. Heléne will guide participants through every step of the process, from cutting and assembling the box to covering it with cloth or decorative paper. This is a unique opportunity to enhance your bookbinding skills while creating a beautiful and functional piece. Don’t miss this hands-on experience!
