Sutherland’s latest novel Catastrophe is set in the immediate aftermath of the 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear Power Disaster in Ukraine, USSR. His fascination with the event was sparked by a real-time case study in his Mechanical Engineering degree and led to several years of intensive research. In Catastrophe, Sutherland takes readers on a gripping journey through the complexities of human nature and the consequences of our actions. Set against the backdrop of a world teetering on the brink of disaster, this thought-provoking novel explores themes of resilience, redemption, and the pursuit of truth in the face of overwhelming adversity.
