We are delighted to welcome children’s book author and illustrator Emily House back to Oude Leeskamer during the school holidays for another edition of her much-loved illustration workshops! 

Designed for children aged 8–10 years, this fun and interactive session introduces young artists to the magical world of children’s book illustration. Emily will share how stories begin with characters and guide participants step-by-step as they create their own unique characters and mini books to take home. Whether your child loves drawing, storytelling, or simply letting their imagination run wild, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to learn from a real author and illustrator while exploring the creative process behind making a book. Children are encouraged to bring their favourite drawing materials, a favourite picture book, and plenty of imagination.
