Join Louis Esterhuizen for his conversation with author Riël Franzsen about his second collection, Die ongemak van daar wees, on the 26th of July at 10:00. Franzsen’s debut collection, Narokkong, was published in 2015.

A series of paintings by Giorgio de Chirico forms the backbone of this collection. The artworks mostly depict diminutive, lonely human figures on giant city squares in ominous colours. The opening poem of each section forms the core of the themes that emerge. Hidden commentary is then given on various issues, such as dehumanisation and war.
