For nearly half a century, the revered column Geestelike Waardes has graced the pages of Die Burger every Saturday. Over the years, it has been entrusted to the pens of distinguished writers, with Dirkie Smit holding the helm for two decades until 2017, when Robert Vosloo took up the mantle and has since carried forth its legacy.

In a special event, seasoned columnist Wilhelm Jordaan initiates a dialogue between Robert Vosloo and Dirkie Smit, delving into the essence of the column and the timeless themes it explores week after week. Their conversation is set against the backdrop of three recently released volumes: Gedagtes oor Geestelike Waardes and Gesprekke oor Geestelike Waardes authored by Smit and published by SUN Press, along with ‘n Lewe hier: Gedagtes oor tyd en ander gawes, written by Vosloo and published by Naledi.
