Flexible yet durable, it is ideal for creating a travel journal, a thoughtful handmade gift for a dear friend or a sketchbook that can be made and put to use within a single day. During the workshop, participants will learn the basic principles of the long stitch structure and sew their own handmade book from start to finish. Basic materials and tools will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring along their own fabric or decorative paper, which can be incorporated into the binding to create a book that is uniquely their own.
