Discover the art of slow stitching in this hands-on workshop that blends creativity with self-reflection. Using reclaimed textiles such as vintage lappies, participants will explore their internal landscapes—navigating emotions, personal struggles, and the uncertainty that comes with change.

Stitching, as a meditative and expressive art form, offers a calming, grounding effect while transforming discarded fabric into meaningful, textured artworks. Through this process, participants will create a unique and deeply personal piece to take home. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or new to textile art, this workshop invites you to embrace creativity, mindfulness, and renewal.

Dr. Marleen De Villiers, a mixed media artist, psychotherapist, and art therapist whose textile art has been shown in various exhibitions, will guide this transformative session.
