Award-winning author and playwright, Prof. Willem Anker, is back with a multifaceted and gripping novella, Patmos (Quellerie). The book is inspired by Anker’s play of the same name, which debuted in 2024. Tertius Kapp will be in conversation with Anker about this post-apocalyptic story.

The story focuses on the complex relationship between an astronomer and a composer. While the composer struggles with his own future, the astronomer and her mute eight-year-old son try to forget their past. Together they form an unlikely household – one poised precariously between destruction and renewal.
