Strauss & Co returns to Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees this year with a vibrant programme of exhibitions, talks and special events taking place across Oude Leeskamer and the Stellenbosch Town Hall. At Oude Leeskamer, Alles behalwe doodstil | Anything but Static brings together a selection of modern and contemporary still lifes by artists including Georgina Gratrix, Erik Laubscher, Cecil Skotnes and Penny Siopis. Alongside the exhibition, Strauss & Co is collaborating with Stellenbosch University’s Creative Jewellery and Metal Design division to present the work of 15 art jewellers.

The wider festival programme offers plenty more to discover, from exhibition walkabouts, valuation days and masterclasses to conversations around collecting and the South African secondary art market. Strauss & Co chairperson Frank Kilbourn will join a panel exploring the world of collecting, while a benefit auction will bring together works by emerging and established artists. Visitors can also look forward to coffee raves and a special sensory still-life experience, presented at the Town Hall in association with La Motte – making for a wonderfully varied celebration of art, collecting and creative exchange during this year’s Woordfees.
