Rather than the distressing format of a traditional short conversation with one author about their latest title, this series places two authors and the conversation leader in dialogue: about the art of writing and their process, their worldview, the role of the writer locally and more widely, the enchantment and challenges of languages and the unique character of the writer’s penmanship and voice. To kick this series off, we invited the local language and editor extraordinaire, Jonathan Amid, to lead the conversations in 2024. The conversations are informed yet informal, casual yet intellectual. It promises to be something for the books.
