The Oude Leeskamer Neighbourhood
GPS coordinates:
33,93818° S, 18,86372° E
Oude Leeskamer is situated in the historic centre of Stellenbosch, on the corner of Dorp and Drostdy street. Inspiration can be drawn from the beautiful view of the Dutch Reformed Church and the University of Stellenbosch’s Faculty of Theology, the joyful bell serenade, art exhibited in our gallery, or the culinary excellence of De Eetkamer Restaurant.
Church Street is renowned for its quaint art galleries, charming restaurants, and bustling coffee shops.
It can be a bit noisy for the light sleeper as we are in the local “restaurant district”, which has around 19 venues within a 4-block radius, which makes it popular for tourists.
