Sculpting Textual Bodies is a group exhibition featuring local creatives: artists were invited to create work(s) in response to a text-based work(s) of their choice. We asked artists to consider how language and the written word influences their practice, be it in the form of a poem, a novel, the physical form of text itself, the language of coding or a written phrase, to create a work that stimulates an interesting dialogue between the chosen text(s) and the artwork(s) created. Artists were asked to consider the personal relationship they have with specific worded works, considering how these evoke imagery, a sense of texture and form, or meaning within their creative process. In this exhibition, we aim to ignite a deep exploration of the interplay between text and image, between words and the visual imagination.

Join us from 17:00 onwards for a glass of wine, a cold beer, and some artsy vibes!
